Fun In Boone

I tried to post pictures mom didn't! We took the fam to Woodlands bbq where you see them drinking sweet tea. We listened to some great live music and ate too much food! The others are pictures of our hike where we ran into black raspberries and cows!! We did have so much fun and wish it wouldn't have ended so soon! We miss you guys too!

Our trip to the Billy Graham Library

We went to visit our friends Dan and Christa in Charlotte a few weekends ago and visited the library and his home growing up. We had a ton of fun eating, playing outside, going to a play and just being together. I'm sad summer is over................but that's what weekends are for! fun with friends!

Happy Anniversary!!

We celebrated by having a nice dinner out in blowing rock! I had some of the best lasagna ever! We split an ice cream and then returned home to watch the cubs because they were on tv!!!! Adam brought home the prettiest roses-hope you enjoy!

Camping Trip!

After packing up all of our new gear,the six of us hopped in the car and drove an hour to one of the prettiest lakes-Watauga Lake. It's just across the border over into TN. We got the last camping spot for the day. We set up our new tent which is huge-thank you all for those who bought it for us, and then went swimming. We survived by floating on $1 floaties from Wal-Mart. Chuck which is Meghann's husband, Rob which is Claire's husband and I all had a competition to see who could tread water the longest. We held our arms out of the water for a min which led to Rob quiting and then had to swim to shore and back which led to me quiting. The winner was supposed to have dinner brought to them in the hammock but we forgot!!! We made a fire and had hot dogs for dinner. Then we went for a hike on the Appalachian trail. I never thought I would do that! The part we hiked was just like any other trail-beautiful. To end the night we roasted the malo and played rate your mate. Adam and I ended up losing which seemed fitting over our anniversary weekend. We all slept snug sharing blankets and mats and got up early the next morning. On our way home we stopped for coffee and enjoyed the scenery. Much to our surprise we were locked out when we returned because our land lady gave us the wrong key for one of our locks. We got to break a small window which made for another fun adventure this weekend!
