Hiking Adventures

We went hiking today on a new road called Globe rd. It's a part

of NC we haven't explored yet! We found a snapping turtle on

the first path which Adam is holding and later in the leaves. We

also found a snail and some pretty butterflies! The last picture is

of the side of the hill that we had to climb down to get to the trail

at the bottom. You can barely see it, but it was worth getting down

to see some pretty waterfalls! It was a good day to go out exploring!

School Campout

Last night Mr. Bassett; another teacher from Grace, his wife tracy,

adam and I all took 8 kids camping behind a stream on one of the fifth

graders land. We played wiffleball, football, roasted hot dogs and malos,

learned how to set up tents, how to make a bridge to cross the stream and

told stories. It was a great time. I especailly enjoyed just hanging out with

the kids not in school where we could just have fun!!! Adam and I didn't spend

the night because he had to work today, but I think they were pretty crowded

the way it was!

Mad Hatter Bridal Shower

Amanda's getting married! She's the one with the flower hat!

We had a shower for her today and all had to wear fun hats.

Meghann luckily loaned claire and I hats so we fit right in! These

are also some yummy cupcakes I made for the party! Good

girls time!

Finally we had a nice day in boone! we went on a

HARD, but good for us and fun bike ride, did some

shopping with my girlfriends for a bridal shower tomorrow,

listened to the cubbies heart wrenching game(which they came

out victorious-i hope you were watching), and just enjoyed all

the sunshine that we had! here's just a few pics of us being goofy

and our pretty sunset we had! sorry i haven't posted in

forever-i'm not good at taking pictures!

Our Friend Ethan...

Last Saturday we got to hang out with our friend Ethan!

We made pancakes(which are his favorite), roasted mallos,

played fishing boat and baseball all before 1 in the afternoon.

He's a sweet and very smart three year old! We hope

to play again soon!

1. i taught 6th grade math
2. i taught 7th and 8th grade art
3. it snowed about two inches-walked down to get the mail and be outside in the pretty snow!
4. took a long nap-i was so tired from school yesterday-fun but tiring week so far
5. made chef salads for dinner
6. cleaned
7. watched the express with adam
8. ate too many m&m's -frustrated that i couldn't get to the gym to workout

8 things I'm looking forward to:
1. perfectly warm summer days in boone
2. being able to spend summer nights outside playing, running, hiking, eating
3. seeing my family again
4. seeing my kids at school-i love my job
5. spending time with amanda this week
6. going to the beach again someday
7. cubs opening day in april
8. going to heaven

1. furniture for our house
2. for many family members to come to know the Lord
3. to be married to adam till we are both OLD!
4. to have three or four kids-not now
5. for my hair to grow out more and get a better cut

7. for adam's ribs to get better-he broke them playing FLAG football
8. to be able to travel to see everyone i love whenever i wanted!
